STATABILITY ENABLES LARKSPUR HOSPITALITY TO BUILD BETTER BUDGETS FASTER AND EASIER

ATLANTA - Larkspur Hospitality Company, one of the nation's fastest-growing hotel companies, needs to help its managers improve the speed and accuracy of budgeting for continued success without pulling general managers away from their primary goal - serving guests. That is why Larkspur Hospitality has turned to Statability, a web-based reporting company, to build a better budget tool for its hotels.

"We weren't satisfied with our previous budgeting solution; a series of about a dozen linked spreadsheets that was extremely cumbersome to use," said Larkspur Hospitality President and COO Pete Mulligan. "Statability's budget tool is far easier to use and speeds the budgeting process. We can slice and dice the information in many different ways, making budgeting a much more exact science. And Statability really shrunk the time it takes to complete the entire budgeting process. What used to start in August and end in December now takes about a month, start to finish."

This will be the second year Larkspur Hospitality has used Statability's budgeting product, and Mulligan said he expects the benefits to be cumulative. "The Statability model keeps a record of comments, so new staff will be able to look back and see why a particular action was taken.

"Our general managers appreciate that we have found a solution to make their budget planning process easier," Mulligan added. "Plus, the less administrative paperwork they have to do for the home office, the more time and attention they can pay to our guests."

Based on the success of Statability's budget process, Larkspur Hospitality will begin using the company's forecasting and flash reporting products this year.
